With the Fall season finishing this weekend, it is time to start thinking about Spring softball. Here is all the information you need to know about registering for the Spring 2026 House League Season:

Age Divisions: LGSL offers opportunities for girls to learn and play the game of softball at the following age divisions:

• 6U T-Ball
• 8U Machine Pitch
• 10U
• 12U
• Senior Division

Registration Fees:

• 6U – $165
• 8U through Senior Division - $200

Early Bird Discount: If you register by December 31, you can take advantage of our Early Bird Discount:

• 6U Early Bird - $150
• 8U through Senior Early Bird - $180

Siblings Discount: If you have more than one player in the House League, LGSL offers a $20 discount for each sibling. All siblings must be registered at the same time to receive the discount.

Deferred payment: Due to the ongoing uncertainty with the current government situation, LGSL will be offering an option for affected families to defer making their registration payment until next year. This option can be chosen on the registration form as part of the Financial Aid request. Families that choose this option will have their registration fee automatically posted to their account on January 15, 2026 with payment due by the start of the season.

Age Group Determination: Up until now, LGSL has used a player’s birth year (age on December 31 of the previous year) to determine which age group a player should be placed in. For the Spring 2026 season LGSL will be changing the date used in determining a player’s age division to align with the changes that many of the softball sanctioning bodies (USSSA, USA Softball, etc.) have made in recent years. Beginning with this registration cycle, a player’s age group will be determined by their age on August 31 of the current year. The registration system will automatically put your player in the appropriate age division based on their birthdate, but you can refer to the graphic below for more information.

Register as a coach: If you would like to volunteer to coach an LGSL House League team, you can register at the same time you are registering your player.

Team Formation: The method LGSL uses to form teams varies by age division:

• 6U – Teams are assigned by the House League Director
• 8U – Teams are formed through a collaboration between the LGSL House League Director and the 8U team coaches
• 10U through Senior Division – Players will go through an evaluation prior to the Spring Draft. The date for evaluations has not yet been determined but will most likely be mid to late February

Season Dates: Although subject to change, the dates for the Spring Season are shaping up as follows:

• Mid-March – practices begin
• April 6 – games begin
• May 30 – last day of regular season games
• June 1-6 – Championship week
