WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Players will check in at a table and be provided with a bib to put on the front of their shirt.
- Players should check in FULLY PREPARED to play - shoes tied, restroom visits complete, stretched/warmed up, etc. - 10 - 15 minutes before their age group start time.
- Players will move through a series of drills including fielding, throwing, and hitting. Once complete, those players wishing to be evaluated as Pitchers/Catchers will stay for additional drills. - Players will need an active Facility Pass with Dulles Sportsplex, $3 for players who have had a pass before or $5 for those that haven't. Instructions are available at: https://yoursportspass.com/.

Youth Umpires
Youth Umpire Program
Did you know LGSL has a Youth Umpire Program!
Leesburg Girls Softball uses Youth Umpires to umpire 8U Machine Pitch games. The Youth Umpire Program is open to any youth, boy or girl, 13 years of age or older, or will be turning 13 in the current calendar year. A knowledge of basic softball rules is helpful (ie - safe vs out at a bag; force play) but not required. Games for the 8U Division are generally played on Mondays and Saturdays. Youth Umpires are required to attend a training session provided by the Youth Umpire Coordinator prior to their first assigned game. All Youth Umpires under the age of 18 are required to wear face protection (fielder's mask, catcher's mask, etc) when umpiring a game.
If you have a youth that is interested in the Youth Umpire Program, click HERE to provide their information.
Questions about the Youth Umpire Program can be directed to the Youth Umpire Coordinator by clicking HERE.
